In the spectacular cellar vault beneath the Royal Palace one finds the Royal Armoury. The museum devoted to the history of Sweden's monarchs reflects dramatic events – in war and peace time – for adults and children.

The museum is the oldest in Sweden, and was founded in 1628. It contains collections of the very best in an international perspective. Ornate, beautiful garments, glittering carriages, and lavish, stylishly decorated weapons tell of fairytale ceremonies at court, such as coronations, weddings and funerals.

The Royal Armoury contains a special children's room. Step into an enchanted world of handsome knights and brave princesses!
