Landskrona Art Gallery, designed by Sten Samuelsson and Fritz Jaenecke, was built in 1963, the town's 550th anniversary as an exhibition hall for industrial design.

With its large window walls and concrete design, the building blends into the surrounding parklands even as its distinctive profile makes a statement. The southwest side of the gallery is adorned with a sculptural glass wall by Erik Höglund.

Housed in the gallery is a cafe dating from 1963 with its furnishings intact. Surrounding the Art Gallery is Kaptensgården Sculpture Park, opened in 1998, featuring works by 20 artists. In an atrium in the middle of the gallery, is a Japanese show garden created by landscape architect Ulla Mohlin in 1989, in connection with a memorial exhibition of Nobu Uta Hilding.

From February/March to November, the gallery mounts a range of art exhibitions, sometimes in collaboration with other institutions.
