Summer is the best time for mountain hiking. Don’t be surprised if you are joined by an inquisitive reindeer; during the summer months hundreds of reindeer graze on in our area. It is also worth visiting during the transition from summer to autumn, when nature changes coats with a stunning display of colour.

When the snow falls there are new discoveries to be made in a unique winter landscape. The numerous marked winter trails and 100km of groomed ski tracks will take you out into the enormous white expanses. After a wonderful day in the mountains you can relax at our facilities. Saunas, good food and comfortable beds are available in cabins, hotels and mountain lodges.

Renbiten i sameland
“Renbiten” is a small Sami family business specialising in products and services that are tied to Sami culture. There is a risk that you will be completely captivated, because the Sami people have an interesting history and a culture with many traditions.

At our farm shop we sell many different types of reindeer meat, as well as game, fish and berries. Genuine Sami handicrafts are on sale, as well as locally made products, top quality leather, horn, exclusive Sami art and great gift ideas.

Renbiten also organises a number of different activities where you can enjoy your surroundings, the tranquillity and the Sami culture, all adapted to the season, the weather and your requirements. Why not accompany us to our “kåta” (a traditional dwelling), where we sit around the hearth, “aernie”, and listen to stories of Sami life, then and now. You can taste Sami delicacies and if you want you can even learn to throw a “soepinjhe”- a lasso.

Just below the treeline lies Lövåsgårdens Fjällhotell in a very peaceful setting that invites to both activities and relaxation.
